Fuller Stone Care knows how to protect brick, concrete, and natural stone pavers

Pavers make an excellent choice of material for paths, patios, outdoor stairs, and driveways. Not only are they far more attractive than options like gravel or asphalt; they can also last much longer.

The only catch is…

…you do need to take care of your pavers if you want them to last.

The Importance of Sealing

Sealing is one of the most important things you can do to prepare your pavers for a long and attractive service life. Without sealing, pavers are vulnerable to damage from the elements. They could get bleached by the sun, which would look particularly bad if part of the paved area is in direct sun and the rest is not, as you’d end up with a two-tone look. Pavers could also be stained by the repetitive cycle of rainwater soaking into them and then drying out again. And of course, unsealed pavers could be stained by anything you might happen to spill on them, whether it’s a drink you were enjoying on your patio or a drip of oil or other fluid from a car parked in your driveway.

However, once an appropriate sealant has been professionally applied to your sealers, they will be much better able to resist succumbing to the wear and tear of everyday life:

  • Their color will be preserved
  • They will be protected against stains
  • They will be easier to clean
  • Plus, they will have an attractive “wet” look

What to Expect With Fuller Stone Care Sealing Your Pavers

At Fuller Stone Care, we have ample experience sealing all kinds of pavers, including brick, concrete, and natural stone. You can rely on us to select the right product based on your paver material and provide a thorough and professional sealing that will serve you well for years to come.

Typically, the process takes two days. The first day, we focus on preparing your pavers to take the sealant. If you have any stains, we will treat them with appropriate solvents that will help lift the stain without damaging the paver material. We will then pressure wash all the pavers to make sure they are clean and free of dirt.

The next day, we will begin the sealing process. Our staff are always careful to check that all the pavers are completely dry before beginning this process as any moisture could affect the integrity of the sealant.

To allow the sealant to cure properly, it is best to avoid walking on it for 2-4 hours or driving on it for 48-72 hours.
